Meet the Fairowners: Iwona Loranc, our Sales Development Executive

Updated: Sep 19

Let’s get to know another fairowner: Iwona, our Sales Development Executive. Iwona is the cornerstone of our sales team. She works remotely from Poland, but believes that great ideas have no borders and feels the passion to convince more and more people and manufacturers to consume and sell products consciously and sustainably.

Tell us about your professional background.

Before starting cooperation with Fairown, I worked for large international and Polish brands such as BMW, Agora (one of the largest Polish publishers), Jeronime Martins (an international group operating in food distribution and specialised retail), Remington, etc. I dealt mainly with marketing and sales - I was most engaged in projects related to the introduction and implementation of new products to the market, but also creating sales and marketing strategies.

How has your onboarding process been?

On my first day, I actually started onboarding my first Polish client. It was quite a challenge! Therefore, I had to quickly learn many aspects of Fairown’s unique offer. I would have never been able to do it without our wonderful people, so huge thanks to the team!

You are from Poland, but work for an Estonian company. Why did you choose Fairown, what stood out for you?

I feel like great ideas have no borders and that Fairown chose me. When I first heard what goals Fairown wants to pursue, I instantly thought that I want to be part of this global change of making consumption and production circular and more sustainable.

Name some fun facts about yourself that we can’t find on your CV or social profile.

Well, this might be something interesting for you:

  • in the beginning of my professional career, I worked in the film industry as a plan manager;

  • I can develop photos in the dark room like in the good old days;

  • I named my cats after real people – Antek and Tosia.

What drives and inspires you the most in your daily work?

I would divide my inspiration into two categories:

  • first of all, people. All Fairown employees who gave me a warm welcome and helped me get a smooth start from day one. I learn something new from them every day;

  • partners and clients with whom I have the opportunity to talk very often. Each sales meeting gives me the feeling of fixing the world little by little.

Where do you see yourself and Fairown in a couple of years?

I would like to find a way to convince more and more people and manufacturers to consciously consume and sell products. Therefore, I would like to introduce a subscription offer to all possible markets and all possible brands.
